Happy Birthday for Turner Syndrome Foundation Card Auction

Hi friends!  Today, I am sharing a fun birthday card that I created to donate to an Auction for the Turner Syndrome Foundation. Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born without the second X-chromosome, leaving her with lifelong medical issues.  You can read more about Turner Syndrome here

I colored up the adorable gnome image from Polkadoodles with Copic markers and cut it out.  I chose some coordinating digital papers from the shop and inked up the edges before layering them on my card base.  I created a cute little tag and added it to the card front.  I heat embossed the sentiment and created a little banner, which I adhered to the back of the gnome before adding him to the card front.  Lastly, I added some clear glass bubbles.

I hope that you will join us for the auction over on Instagram!  The auction photos will go live on February 1 and it will close on February 28.
If you love my card, please head over and bid on it! (I have also donated a second card, but you will have to find it!  I promise it is worth the hunt!)  This is such a worthy cause and all of the proceeds will go to The Turner Syndrome Foundation.  I am so honored to be able to participate!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Let's Celebrate!

Hi friends!  Today, I am sharing a fun winter themed wobbler card that I created using the darling Agnes Elephant from Polkadoodles.

I wanted to use bright cheerful colors to convey a celebration theme.  I figured it is perfect for birthday, congratulations, really anything that calls for celebrating!

I colored Agnes with Copic Markers, cut her out and paired her with some fun digital papers.  I added some sparkles behind her skates to give the illusion of being on ice and attached her with a wobbler element, so when you touch her, she wiggles.
I hope that you love Agnes as much as I do!

Winter Wedding Wishes

Happy Saturday, friends!  We have a new Anything Goes Challenge up over at Polkadoodles, and this week, the Design Team was asked to create a stepper card for a winter wedding.

I used the pre-colored Bride & Groom digital stamp from the Work & Play 9 Collection.

I paired them with silver and shimmery white cardstock.  I dry-embossed the white panels using a folder from my stash.   I heat embossed the sentiment in silver.
To complete my card, I added some clear sequins, a silver loopy bow, and some paper flowers.
I really, really love this card.  I can't believe how beautifully it turned out!
Please make sure to join us for the challenge and be entered to win some amazing prizes!

Holiday Wishes!

Hi friends!  Today is Saturday, so that means we have a new Anything Goes challenge over at Polkadoodles!

This week, the Design Team was asked to create some gift wrapping to share, so I decided that I would make a gift box and removable ornament using some of my favorite digital papers from the Elvis Wesley Moose Collection.

I colored the sweet Evie with Poinsettia digital stamp with Copics, cut her out and set her aside.  I stenciled a navy piece of cardstock with white ink to give myself a snowflake background and then I created a rosette from it. I added a piece of silver metallic thread through the rosette to create a hanger and added a bow behind Evie.

I heat embossed my sentiment on a circle and adhered it to the belly band so that it isn't completely plain when the ornament is removed.  I added another loopy silver bow to that so that it would still show behind the ornament.  I affixed the ornament to the belly band with a removable glue dot so that it can be taken off easily.

I absolutely love this sweet collection and had a blast creating this gift!  This was really an easy process, and I hope you are inspired to create your own gift packaging!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Birthday, Gnomie!

Happy Saturday, friends!  You know what that means!  We have a new Anything Goes Challenge live on the Polkadoodles Crafting Blog!  This week the Design Team challenge was to create an easel birthday card using fall colors of browns and greens.

I colored the adorable Autumn Wheelbarrow Halloween Gnome digital stamp with Copics (listed below), cut it out and set it aside.
I started with a brown card base and layered several different cardstocks, including a digital paper (and I am sorry, but for the life of me, I can't remember which collection I pulled it from).  I inked the edges of all of the layers with Distress Ink.
I wrapped a piece of burlap ribbon around the layers and before adhering it to the card base, I added a row of Stitched Flower Brads along the bottom.  I had to get a little bit creative with my main image, as the gnome is holding a jack-o-lantern on a stick.  Since Halloween is over, I covered it with a Sunflower Brad.  I also added some Stitched Flower Brads along the bottom of the panel.

I stamped my sentiment on the inside of the card, and popped the "to you" panel up with foam tape so that the card front could rest behind it when popped open.  To complete my card, I created a loopy bow using some thin grosgrain ribbon paired with linen thread.  I cut the prongs off of a pumpkin brad and used my hot glue gun to make a "button" for the bow.  I also added some Chocolate Jewels from Kat Scrappiness to add some sparkle.
Colors Used:
Skin - E04, E11, E21, E00, E000
Beard - C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, C0

I colored up the adorable Snowman digital stamp from the Elvis Wesley Moose collection with Copic Markers (colors listed below) and set it aside.

I created my card with a heavyweight base paired with some of the fun digital papers from the Elvis Wesley Moose Collection.  I inked the edges of the papers up with Walnut Stain Distress Ink before adhering them to my card.
I die-cut my image using into a square panel and adhered it to the card front.  I then created a tag to go into the pocket that is perfect for writing a message to the recipient.  Lastly, I added a bow and some Clear AB Glass Bubbles from Kat Scrappiness.
Colors Used:
Red - R59, R37, R35, R32

Friends are Flowers

Hello friends!  It's Saturday, and that means that we have a brand new Anything Goes Challenge in full swing over on the Polkadoodles Blog.  This week, the Design Team was challenged to create a friendship themed project using flowers and autumn colors, so I decided to create a tag.

I was dying to play with the Magic Garden Soup collection, and they were perfect to crate my tag with.  I printed up one of the tags and numerous elements from the collection and cut them out.

Using Antique Linen Distress Ink, I inked up the edges of all of my elements and I also used a script background stamp randomly on the tag.

I layered my elements and adhered them to the tag and finished by adding some ribbon.

I hope that you are inspired to go get crafty and create something beautiful!  Make sure to share it with us and be entered to win some great prizes, not to mention bragging rights!

Are You My Mummy?

Hello, crafty friends!  It's Saturday and that means the start of a new Anything Goes Challenge on the Polkadoodles Blog!

I love making Halloween cards, so I really love this time of the year, and when the theme for the Design Team is Halloween, I get super excited and go a bit crazy!

I colored up the Mummy Boo Digital Stamp with Copics (listed below), cut him out, and set him aside.   If you have not checked out the Boo Halloween Collection, you really need to.  It is so full of all the CUTE Halloween characters and papers you could ever need!  Nothing scary here.

I wanted to keep this card relatively simple, so that this darling mummy would really stand out.  I die-cut two ovals and I layered one of the digital patterned papers from the collection on a black card base and one of the digital Distress Ink Papers from the Little Miss Sugar Pops Collection also on a black panel.   Before adhering this panel, I wrapped it in some black and white baker's twine and popped it up on foam squares to give some room for the twine at the back. I added foam squares behind the ovals to also give room for the twine and added the sentiment layered on black card stock and popped it up on foam squares.
Colors Used:
Skin - E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, R20
Hair - E18, E15, E13
Bandages - C8, C6, C4, C2, C0
Silver Gel Pen (Safety Pin)
Please make sure to stop by the Polkadoodles Blog, check out all of the amazing inspiration from the rest of the Design Team, and while you are there, share your project(s) with us!  There are some great prizes up for grabs, and Anything Goes means there are NO requirements!

Witch, Please!

Happy Saturday, crafty friends!  I am still trying to process the fact that it is September!  I am definitely ready for it to start to cool down!  It has been really, really warm here.

We have a new Anything Goes challenge up on the Polkadoodles blog, and this week the Design Team was challenged to create a Halloween card.

I wanted to do something a little different, so I created a mini slimline card using the adorable Cute Little Witch Halloween pre-colored digital stamp.

I absolutely love the digital papers in the Boo collection!  They are full of bright cheerful colors and so I decided to use a few of the really colorful papers to pair with my little witch.

I wantd a card with lots of layers, so I cut out some fun banners, stars and tickets in coordinating colors and layered them all on my card front and then popped the witch up with foam dots.

I really had a lot of fun creating this card!  I hope that you will join us and share your creations with us!  There are some great prizes up for grabs!

Hey friends!  It is Saturday and you know what that means!   Yep!  You guessed it!   We have a new Anything Goes Challenge starting on the Polkadoodles Crafting Blog

This week the Design Team theme is Autumn/Halloween, and because I am a lover of sweater/shawl weather (and I am so ready!!!), I created this fun card using the adorable Eli Elephant Clearing Leaves digital stamp.
I colored him up with Copic markers (colors listed below) and cut him out.  I paired him with some fun digital papers from the shop that I die-cut and layered with some great autumn colors.   I pulled out some old Stampin' Up punches and punched up a handful of autumn leaves and acorns and clustered them.and added some crochet thread to tie it all together.
To finish my card, I heat embossed my sentiment and added some Nuvo Drops.

Hey, Pumpkin!

Happy Saturday, friends!  I hope you have something totally fun planned for the weekend!  Well, you know what Saturday means!  We have a brand new Anything Goes Challenge ready for you over at Polkadoodles!

I love making Halloween cards, so this week’s challenge is right up my alley!  I adore the Boo Cute collection, so I decided to create a card using the adorable Pumpkin Boo Girl Pre-colored digital stamp.  I paired her with lots of layers using some of the coordinating digital papers from the collection and the result is this adorable card that is ready to send!

If you have never worked with pre-colored images, you MUST dive in and give it a try.  I didn't use the pre-colored image because it is quicker and easier (though it truly is), I chose to use it because the coloring is so beautiful, and it was exactly what I wanted for my card!
I really had fun layering up this little doll on the fantastic digital papers in the collection!  I added some silver metallic thread and popped her up on some foam dots, and voila!
I hope that you will join us by sharing your crafty creations and entering the challenge!  There are some great prizes up for grabs so head on over to the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog and check out all of the other magical creations that the Design Team has to inspire you.

Hollybobs Mistletoe - Polkadoodles Craft Challenge - Week 31

Hello crafty friends!  It is Saturday and that means we have a brand spankin' new challenge up on the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog!  This week the Design Team is getting organized for the holidays, and since it is Christmas in July, I thought I would get a jump on my cards using the adorable Hollybobs Mistletoe digital stamp and some digital papers from the Elvis Wesley Moose collection.

I colored the image with Copic markers (listed below), cut it out and set it aside.  You can't really tell from the photos, but the pom-pom is fuzzy.  I used Fun Flock for the first time, and oh my goodness, was it fun!  I die-cut a tag from kraft card stock and one of the papers using a die from Reverse Confetti.  I distressed all of the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and added some retired Stampin' Up ribbon and linen thread and set the tag aside.

I die cut a scalloped border from the red panel using the C.C. Designs Border Dies and I distressed the edges of all of my card panels and began to layer them up on my card base.  I embossed a sentiment from a retired Stampin' Up stamp set and I trimmed it into a banner, using a retired punch and then distressing the edges. To complete the card, I adhered the main image to the tag, popped the tag up on foam dots and placed it on the card.  Lastly, I popped the sentiment banner up on foam dots.
Colors Used:
Skin - E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, R20
Hair - E18, E15, E13
Hat/Scarf/Mittens - R59, R29, R27, R24
Coat/Trim on Hat - B99, B37, B39

Fun Flock
I am completely, head over heels in love with this card!  It was so much fun to create.  I hope that you will join us in this week's challenge!  There are prizes up for grabs, and because it is an Anything Goes Challenge, there are absolutely no product requirements!

Happy Saturday, crafty friends!  Saturdays bring a new Anything Goes Challenge on the Polkadoodles Blog!  This week, the Design Team was challenged to create a Friends Forever card and I chose to work with the sweet Winnie Missed You digital stamp from the Winnie Let's Hang Out Collection.

I colored up these sweet besties with Copic Markers (colors listed below).  I set the image aside to work on the remainder of the card.
I chose two beautiful digital papers and I die-cut the edge of the patterned paper using the C.C. Designs Borders Dies and I die-cut the image and the solid paper using the Stitched Indented Square dies from Elizabeth Craft.

I wrapped a piece of metallic thread around the paper and layered everything up on my card base.  I am so pleased with how this card turned out.  It has such sweet simplicity.

Meribelle Mermaid Swishy Tail - Polkadoodles Craft Challenge - Week 27

Happy Saturday, lovelies!  You know what that means!  It's time for a brand new Anything Goes Challenge on the Polkadoodles blog

This week, the Design Team was given the theme of "ocean" so I jumped right into coloring up this darling Meribelle Mermaid Swishy Tail digital stamp. I love this because it has three images - black and white, colored, and black and white image with a colored background.  I used the colored background and focused on coloring in the main image with Copic markers (colors listed below).  I nearly threw the image away and started over, because I used my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen to add some sparkles to the bubbles and the tail, but when I did, I ended up painting the tail pure silver... no color was showing through.  I was so upset!  I decided to try to dab some of it off carefully, and thankfully, I was successful!
I wanted to create a circular card, so I used my Scan 'N Cut to cut out the circular card base.  That was an adventure as I had never done this before, but I basically used two circles, overlapped them, and melded them together.  I used my favorite dies (you all are going to get so sick of hearing me say this LOL) from C.C. Designs - the Circle Dies - to cut out the violet scalloped circle.  My husband chose the color, so I have to give him props!  I was going to go with pink, and he insisted that I used the violet color to match her hair.  I think he made a great choice!

I inked up my sentiment in Stampin' Up Bermuda Bay Ink and then I embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I die-cut the sentiment using the C.C. Designs Rectangle Dies and the violet panel using the C.C. Designs Scalloped Rectangle Dies.   To complete my card, I added a bow that coordinates with the card stock.
Colors Used:
Skin - E13, E31, E02, E00, E000, R30
Lips - RV09, RV06
Eyes - BG15
Hair - V09, V17, V15, V12, BV00
Flower - RV09, RV06, RV04, RV02
Bodice - BG18, BG15, BG13, BG11, BG10
Tail - BG49, BG57, BG53
Rock - W7, W5, W3
Grass/Leaf - G07, YG25, YG11, YG00
Starfish/Coral - R08, R05
Octopus/Coral - R35, R14, R20, YR20
Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen
White Gel Pen
I absolutely love this sweet card and I hope you do too!

Twiggy & Toots Graduation - Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge - Week 25

Happy Saturday, friends!  You know what that means!  It's time for a new Anything Goes Challenge on the Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge Blog!   This week the Design Team was asked to make a card that isn't in the shape of a square or a rectangle.  WHAT!?! This was such a challenge for me.

My nephew is graduating this year, so I wanted to make a really fun card for him.  I decided that my card would be in the shape of a graduation cap.  I found a fantastic tutorial for a Graduation Cap Easel Card on YouTube from Sam Calcott of Mixed Up Crafts.
I colored the adorable Twiggy and Toots Graduation digital stamp with Copic markers (colors listed below), cut out the image and set it aside, so that I could create the card.   This was a fun 3D card to make, and the tutorial was so easy to follow. I love that the back has a large amount of white space to write a message on.

Colors Used:
Eyes - Y26, Y23, Y21
Brow - E43, E41, E40
Wings - E79, E74, E70
Cap/Gown/Shoes - C10, C08, C06, C04, C02, C0
Soles - E79, E74, E70
Diploma - Y26, Y23, E43, E41, E40
Bow/Tassle - B69, B66, B63
I know that my nephew will probably not appreciate this card as much as the rest of the family will, but that's OK!  He is a teenage boy, after all.  He will know that he is loved!
I hope that you will join us for this week's Anything Goes Challenge!  There prizes up for grab!  Please head over to the blog and share your creations with us!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
