Hollybobs Mistletoe - Polkadoodles Craft Challenge - Week 31

Hello crafty friends!  It is Saturday and that means we have a brand spankin' new challenge up on the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog!  This week the Design Team is getting organized for the holidays, and since it is Christmas in July, I thought I would get a jump on my cards using the adorable Hollybobs Mistletoe digital stamp and some digital papers from the Elvis Wesley Moose collection.

I colored the image with Copic markers (listed below), cut it out and set it aside.  You can't really tell from the photos, but the pom-pom is fuzzy.  I used Fun Flock for the first time, and oh my goodness, was it fun!  I die-cut a tag from kraft card stock and one of the papers using a die from Reverse Confetti.  I distressed all of the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and added some retired Stampin' Up ribbon and linen thread and set the tag aside.

I die cut a scalloped border from the red panel using the C.C. Designs Border Dies and I distressed the edges of all of my card panels and began to layer them up on my card base.  I embossed a sentiment from a retired Stampin' Up stamp set and I trimmed it into a banner, using a retired punch and then distressing the edges. To complete the card, I adhered the main image to the tag, popped the tag up on foam dots and placed it on the card.  Lastly, I popped the sentiment banner up on foam dots.
