Warm Winter Wishes!

Hello, crafty friends!  Today, I am sharing a fun wintery Memory Dex Card!  The Artful Angel Design Team was asked to use a previously released stamp set to create a winter-themed projects, and I just had to color up the beautiful reindeer from the Santa's Crew stamp set again!

I paired this beauty with some of the gorgeous, patterned papers from an Echo Park 6 x 6 Paper Pad in my stash.

I added a strip of silver glitter washi tape across the center of the dex card and heat embossed my sentiment.
Lastly, I added some clear glass bubbles and a silver bow.
I love this Dex Card and will display it proudly!
Thanks so much for spending a few minutes with me!

2 More Sleeps!

Hi friends!  Only 2 more sleeps until this big guy comes to visit!

Have you jumped on the Memory Dex train yet?  I absolutely love making Dex cards, as they are a quick and easy project to create.  I created this Dex card using the sweet Santa from the Santa and Rudolph stamp set from Prickley Pear Stamps ages ago and forgot to take photos so I could post.  I figure since the big day is nearly here, now would be the perfect time!

As I said, Dex cards are really easy to create.  I started by die-cutting my Dex card four times - once from a solid cardstock (for the back), two patterned papers, and one glitter cardstock.  I trimmed the papers down to the sizes I wanted to layer up on the solid base.  The best part of this is that I have additional pieces to use on another Dex card later.
I heat embossed the sentment and cut it in to a banner, adhered it to the back of my Santa, and glued it down to the front of the card.  I added a bow from metallic embroidery thread and some glitter enamel dots.
I would love it if you would comment and let me know if you have started making Memory Dex cards or not.
Don't forget to head over to the shop and check out all the goodness available!
Thank you so much for spending a few minutes with me today!

Hey Pumpkin!

Hi friends!  I am over on the Eyelet Outlet blog today!  I had so much fun creating my last Memory Dex Card that I decided I needed to create a fall-themed one to share with you!   I also am participating in a Dex swap, so this was a great opportunity to kill two birds with one stone!

I colored up these cute images from the Happy Fall Y'all stamp set from Scrappy Boy Stamps with Copic Markers (listed below), cut them out and set them aside.   I knew that I wanted to pair her with some fall brads, so when I die-cut my Memory Dex card, I knew that I would need multiple layers so that I could add some foam to leave room for the brads in back.  I die-cut one card from heavy-weight card stock, and I cut two more from two different patterned papers.
I used my paper trimmer to cut the plaid card to 2" and I adhered it to the leaf patterned card.  I wrapped them with Sparkle Copper Glitter Washi Tape (this is literally my favorite washi ever!) and then I adhered my colored images to the card front.
I added a Pumpkin Brad at the base of her feet and scattered some Mini Leaf Brads all around.  Once they were in place, I added foam tape to the back and adhered it to the heavyweight dex card.   Lastly, I stamped my sentiment, and I bordered it with a layer of cardstock that I wrapped with the washi.

Coffee... Because!

Hi friends!  I have been dying to share this fun project that I made recently, and FINALLY I can!  Scrappy Boy Stamps hosted a Memory Dex Swap and I had had to make sure that my partner received it before I posted it.

I colored up this adorable girl from the Cute Girls - Coffee stamp set with Copic markers (listed below).  This is literally one of my FAVORITE stamp sets, and I was lucking enough to buy it from Sean at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo!   If you know me even a little, you know that for me, coffee is life!  I drink it for the protection of everyone around me.  I cut her out and set her aside to create my Dex card.

I die-cut the Dex car several times - twice from red card stock, and twice from the I love Coffee 6x6 Paper Pack using the Stitched Memory Dex Cards Dies.  I wanted to be sure that the stitched edges all lined up.  I trimmed down the coffee bean patterned paper and adhered it to the red card base, followed by a strip of the polka dotted paper.

I heat embossed the sentiments from the set in white and trimmed them down to adhere to the card front.  I added a red heart using one of the dies from the Memory Dex Essentials Die Set, followed by my coffee loving friend.  Before I glued her down, I drew in the white stitching and the heart on the coffee sleeve to make it stand out.

I added a bow using my absolutely favorite ribbon, which unfortunately was retired probably 20 years ago.  I don't know what I will do when I run out of it.   I also added a coffee bean brad from the Eyelet Outlet Coffee Brads that I also picked up at the Expo.   Lastly, I adhered the second red Dex card that I cut out to the back.

I literally love this card so much that I had a terrible time sending it; however, my swap partner loved it, so I am thrilled!

Make Me Coffee and Tell Me I'm Pretty!

Hello friends!  I am so excited to share my first ever project for Eyelet Outlet!  One of the things that I love most about Eyelet Outlet is all of the amazing embellishments that they carry!  There is literally something for every single project you can think of.

Have you jumped on the Memory Dex train yet?  I am just getting started and I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to use some of the fun embellishments that they have to offer in the Eyelet Outlet store.  If you know me, you know that I love everything about coffee, so this adorable image and sentiment from the Cute Girls Coffee stamp set really resonated with me!

I colored up this little cutie with Copics (colors listed below) and cut her out.  I embossed my sentiment in white and cut the strips into banners.  I die-cut three Memory Dex cards - two from solid card stock and one from patterned paper.  I trimmed the patterned paper dex card to 2" tall and adhered it to one of the solid cards.  I wrapped Sparkle Pink Glitter Washi Tape around the card and adhered the other solid card to the back.  I fun flocked the little puffs of steam, to add some texture to them and adhered the sentiment flags to the back of my main image and then adhered it to the card.  Lastly, I added some pretty pink pearls as embellishment.

Artful Angel August Release - Extra Chromie

Hi friends!  I have some super special projects to share with you!  To celebrate the new August Release from Artful Angel, I created a few extra projects.  Down Syndrome Awareness Month is celebrated in October, and in honor of a very sweet young lady, Artful Angel has released the Extra Chromie stamp set.  Charis wanted to make sure that this set was available in plenty of time to celebrate with your loved ones in October.

I created my very first Memory Dex card using the Extra Chromie stamp set paired with the Perfect2Me digital paper collection from AZRedHead on Etsy.  I colored my main image with Copic markers (colors listed below).

I die-cut my base using the Heidi Swapp Memory Dex Dies three times - twice from blue card stock and once from one of the patterned papers. I trimmed the patterned Dex card in half and adhered to the front of the blue card.  I wrapped some blue glittery ribbon around the two and adhered the other blue card to the back.   I stamped my sentiment and trimmed the strip into a banner, and created a banner from yellow card stock.  I adhered them behind my stamped image and attached them all to the front of my dex card.  I finished by adding some blue enamel dots and a bow of yellow and blue crochet thread.
Colors Used:
Skin - E33, E11, E21, R20
Hair - E18, E15, E13
Pants - B29, B26, B24, B21
Shirt - Y17, Y13, Y11
When this set was released, a portion of the proceeds from the sales of the stamp set were donated to Cornerstone Ranch, a community for those with special needs in McKinney, Texas.
This is Lucy, the inspiration behind the Extra Chromie stamp set.
