I've Fallen In and Can't Get Out!

Hello and Happy Friday, friends!  I am over on the Eyelet Outlet Blog today sharing a FUN Halloween Card that I made for a friend!

I stuck with a very simple color palette for the card so that my focal image would really stand out!  I paired some shimmery black cardstock, orange cardstock and my favorite pattern from the Kat Scrappiness Creepy & Kooky 6 x 6 Paper Pad.  I inked the edges of the paper before I adhered anything down.

I made a cauldron using my Cricut and set it aside.  I die-cut a few hexagons using the Stitched Nesting Hexagon Dies from Kat Scrappiness and before I glued them down, I adhered the cauldron to the front, and added the Witch Leg Brads and Witch Hat Brad from Eyelet Outlet.  Once they were in place, I adhered the black hexagon to the card front, and then I popped the orange hexagon up with foam dots, which allowed room for the brads at the back.   I added a sentiment and I finished my card by adding a smattering of Jewel Green Swirl Bling from Eyelet Outlet.  I love the swirl bling because they are super versatile.  You can use them as intended - which is an adhesive backed swirl made of a bunch of beautiful jewels - OR - you can separate the jewels and add them as individual embellishments, which is what I did.

I love creating Halloween cards because I think the color combinations are just so much fun!  Do you send Halloween cards?  Please leave me a comment and let me know!
Thank you so much for spending a few minutes with me!

Coffee... Because!

Hi friends!  I have been dying to share this fun project that I made recently, and FINALLY I can!  Scrappy Boy Stamps hosted a Memory Dex Swap and I had had to make sure that my partner received it before I posted it.

I colored up this adorable girl from the Cute Girls - Coffee stamp set with Copic markers (listed below).  This is literally one of my FAVORITE stamp sets, and I was lucking enough to buy it from Sean at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo!   If you know me even a little, you know that for me, coffee is life!  I drink it for the protection of everyone around me.  I cut her out and set her aside to create my Dex card.

I die-cut the Dex car several times - twice from red card stock, and twice from the I love Coffee 6x6 Paper Pack using the Stitched Memory Dex Cards Dies.  I wanted to be sure that the stitched edges all lined up.  I trimmed down the coffee bean patterned paper and adhered it to the red card base, followed by a strip of the polka dotted paper.

I heat embossed the sentiments from the set in white and trimmed them down to adhere to the card front.  I added a red heart using one of the dies from the Memory Dex Essentials Die Set, followed by my coffee loving friend.  Before I glued her down, I drew in the white stitching and the heart on the coffee sleeve to make it stand out.

I added a bow using my absolutely favorite ribbon, which unfortunately was retired probably 20 years ago.  I don't know what I will do when I run out of it.   I also added a coffee bean brad from the Eyelet Outlet Coffee Brads that I also picked up at the Expo.   Lastly, I adhered the second red Dex card that I cut out to the back.
