PPC&F - Your Next Stamp - Periodically Nerdy and Mini Merry Chris-Moose

  Hello again, friends!  Today, I am sharing my second project that I created to celebrate the Your Next Stamp sponsorship of Passionate Paper Creations & Friends.  I absolutely love the stamps and dies that they carry, and I get excited when their sponsorship comes around!  I might have gone a little crazy when I went shopping!  😁

When I saw the Periodically Nerdy stamp set, I HAD to have it.  It made me giggle and it so suits me. I decided to pair it with the Mini Merry Chris-Moose stamp set and make an early Christmas card.

I stamped the cute little moose and the packages from the La La Llama stamp set and colored them with Copic markers (colors listed below).  I cut them out and set them aside.  I stamped the Helium, Lithium, and Dysprosium elements and cut them out. I also embossed the Happy in white on green and trimmed the end at an angle. 

I distressed a panel of red Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up using the Tim Holtz Paper Distresser and adhered it to a panel of green card stock.  I dry embossed a white panel with a retired Stampin' Up embossing folder from my stash and attached it.  I placed all of my elements down, and popped the moose up on foam squares.  Lastly, I added a bow of (long) retired Real Red Gingham Ribbon from Stampin' Up.

PPC&F - Your Next Stamp - La La Llama

 Good morning, crafty friends!  I am so excited because one of my favorite shops - Your Next Stamp - is sponsoring us this week at Passionate Paper Creations & Friends.  I absolutely love the stamps and dies that they carry, and I get excited when their sponsorship comes around!  I might have gone a little crazy when I went shopping!  😁

When I saw the La La Llama stamp set, I knew that I wanted to make a card reminiscent of a pinata.  I colored up the adorable llama and packages with Copic markers (colors below), cut them out and set them aside. 

To create the pinata strips, I cut 1" x 4 1/4" strips of colored card stock (65#).  On the back of the strips, using a ruler and pencil, I drew a horizontal line at the 1/2" mark and then I marked along the bottom every 1/8".  I am terrible at trying to eyeball things, and I wanted them to be somewhat even, so this was the method that worked for me.  Once I had them all marked, I cut along each of the tick marks. 

To create my card, I layered a panel of white over a panel of purple.  I used my darkest purple Copic marker to run ink around the edges of the white card stock and then adhered the panel to my card base. 

I adhered the pinata strips using liquid adhesive, starting with the bottom strip and working my way up.  When I ruffled the strips, I didn't care for the white that showed at the very bottom, so I added a thin strip of purple under the bottom strip, and one over the top edge of the top strip, followed by a piece of pink grosgrain ribbon. 

I stamped the first sentiment on the right side of the white panel and the second sentiment on a strip of white, which I then created a banner from.  I added a green banner and then arranged both of them behind the llama.  I adhered the packages to the llama and then popped them up on foam squares.  Lastly, I added some pink and green embellishments from Kindred Stamps.

PPC&F - Catherine Pooler - Pinecone Greetings

  Hello friends!  I am so excited that Catherine Pooler is our sponsor this week over at Passionate Paper Creations and Friends!  This is the second card that I created using her amazing products! 

For today's project, I made a masculine birthday card using the Pinecone Greetings stamps and dies, paired with the Plaid Background stamp.  My dad's birthday is in December, and I thought this would be perfect for a winter birthday.  I love this stamp set, as it is so versatile!

PPC&F - Catherine Pooler - Scatter Sunshine

 Hello friends!  I am so excited that Catherine Pooler is our sponsor this week over at Passionate Paper Creations and Friends!  I have never worked with Catherine Pooler products, so I might have been a little crazy when I went shopping.  It was totally worth it, though! 

For my first project, I used the Scatter Sunshine stamp set to create this bright and cheerful card!  When I saw this stamp set in the shop, I just couldn't pass it up.  I am dreaming of sunny days right now (I don't think our area is ever going to dry out) and this stamp set has everything I love - lots of different sunshine images and GORGEOUS hand lettered sentiments. 

I paired this stamp set with a die-cut rainbow, using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rainbow Dies, added some Dew Drops from Honey Bee Stamps and voila!  I am ready to send some sunshine to someone in need!

PPC&F - Last Minute Manda - Will You Bee My Honey?

 Hello, lovelies!  I am so excited that Last Minute Manda is our sponsor at Passionate Paper Creations & Friends this week!  I absolutely love her selection of digital stamps and papers.  I had so much fun creating with Will You Bee My Honey that I created not one, but two cards to share!

I colored up all of the images in the set with Copic markers (colors listed below) and I cut them out and set them aside. 

Card 1:

For my first card, I die-cut my top panel (white) using the Honeycomb Die from Rubbernecker Stamps.  I picked this die up at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo a month or two ago specifically for this project.  

Funny story... I had actually created my own sentiment that said You Bee You, but when I trimmed it down, I cut part of the Bee off, so I decided to just use the cute little bee as part of my sentiment. 

I layered a panel of Stampin' Up Balmy Blue and a panel of Bumblebee, followed with the die-cut white panel.  I adhered the beehive and then added some gold metallic thread before attaching the bee and sentiment.  Lastly, I added a bow from this adorable honeycomb ribbon that my best friend picked up for me.  

Card 2:

For my second card, I used the same Honeycomb Die on the upper half of my white panel.  I layered it over a panel of Stampin' Up Bumblebee Card Stock, and wrapped with the honeycomb ribbon.  

Using a Stampin' Up punch, I created several banners from different patterned papers and adhered them together in pairs, and then added them to the card front, under the ribbon and adhered the little bees.  I also created the sentiment for this card, and trimmed it down and backed it on the beautiful Pretty Peacock card stock from Stampin' Up.  I layered them on a sheet of patterned paper over a black card base. Lastly, I added a bow to the front.

PPC&F - The Cat's Pajamas - Travelin' Man

 Hello, friends!  I am so excited to say that the Cat's Pajamas PaperArts is our sponsor over at Passionate Paper Creations & Friends.  I am a HUGE fan of their adorable digital stamps!  You may remember the card I made a few months ago with the Sending You stamps set.  Today, I am sharing a card using Travelin' Man, starring the same cute bunny. 

I had a ton of fun coloring up this cutie with Copic Markers (listed below).  I then cut out the image and set it aside.

I used some cute digital papers from Scrapbook Gems (Etsy) and created a ton of layers from the different papers.  I inked the edges of all of the papers with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and set them aside to dry. 

To create my background, I used the Lonely Road stencil from Heffy Doodle and the Cloud Stencil from Pink & Main, along with Distress Oxide Inks.  I used some blue cotton crochet thread to wrap the center strip and add a bow to the blue package.

PPC&F - Your Next Stamp - Balloon Bouquet

 Can you believe it?  Two posts in one day!  I had so much fun shopping at Your Next Stamp, that I had to create some more cards to celebrate our fabulous sponsor at Passionate Paper Creations & Friends!  I created a pair of birthday cards using the Balloon Bouquet stamps and dies. 

I colored up the balloon bouquet image in two different color schemes - they both could really be unisex; however, I felt that one is more masculine, and one is more feminine.  

It took me a while to get banner images that I was happy with.  I used some REALLY OLD Stampin' Up markers to color the banner and stamp it.  I have never been more thankful for my Misti, as I did this one color at a time.  (I tried it all at once, but I just couldn't' get a clean image that I was satisfied with.)  I then stamped the Happy in black ink and die-cut all of the images with the coordinating dies.

I dry embossed the balloons on a white card panel.  I have had the embossing folder for quite a while and had never used it, but can I say that I just love it?!  I then arranged my stamped images (I had to ask my hubby for his opinion on the placement) and adhered them to the panel, and then attached it to a white card base. 

I am so, so happy with how these cards turned out!  I can tell you that I never have enough birthday cards, so I am glad to add these to my stash!

PPC&F - Your Next Stamp - Cute Blooms

 Happy Saturday, everyone! This weekend, Your Next Stamp is sponsoring us at Passionate paper Creation & Friends!  I was so excited to get to pick out some designs to work with!  They have an amazing selection to choose from.  The first set that I chose is the darling Cute Blooms Stamp Set.  I actually made a trio of coordinating cards with it. 

I had an idea in my head when I saw this stamp set and I couldn't wait to try it out!  I was not disappointed.  I ordered some new Ranger Alcohol Inks that I wanted to try out, so I created some alcohol ink backgrounds for my cards. 

I colored my images with Copic markers.  I tried to use color schemes that would coordinate well with the backgrounds.  After I colored my images, I cut them out and set them aside. 

I chose coordinating colors of card stock for each card.  I trimmed the card stock and the background panels for each card. I die-cut the sentiments and the rectangle panels (dies listed below) for each card, and then set to work assembling them.

PPC&F - KLM Designs - Snoozing Gnome

 Hi crafty friends!  This week, KLM Designs is sponsoring us over at Passionate Paper Creations & Friends!  I had never worked with their designs, so I was super excited to color up this adorable Snoozing Gnome digital image! 

This cute guy was truly a dream to color up!  Not only had I never worked with their designs, but I had also never colored a gnome.  I colored him in using Copic Markers (colors listed below).  I was a bit intimidated by his beard, as hair is such a huge challenge for me, but I am thrilled with how he turned out.  I wanted the mushroom to have polka dots, so I turned to an old school technique that I haven't used in more years than I want to admit to.  

I got out some regular old household bleach and a pencil with an eraser and carefully dabbed the eraser into the bleach and then daubed it straight down onto the mushroom.  This was terrifying, because spilled bleach would have destroyed all that hard work!  Once I was finished, I cut him out and set him aside. 

I die-cut a white panel and stamped a sentiment from The Greeting Farm Cute Script stamp set.  I also die-cut a plaid panel and a black panel and adhered the three panels together and then to the card base.  I added my gnome image and finished the card off with a bow of black and white baker's twine.  I love how the card turned out!

PPC&F - Prickley Pear Designs - Spinach & Ramona

 Hi crafty friends!  Prickley Pear Stamps and Dies is our sponsor this week over at Passionate Paper Creations & Friends.  If you haven't checked them out, you MUST!  I was unfamiliar with their designs, and I feel like I had really been missing out!  They have an amazing selection in their store! 

I had the pleasure of working with the Frog Pals Spinach and Ramona stamp set and Frog Dies.  I just couldn't resist these little cuties.   As a side note, I just read an article that our area is being taken over by some invasive species of frogs.  It makes me sad, because one of the things that I love best about where I live are the sounds of our native frogs!  We have a few ponds on our property, so frogs are a constant.  I hope they survive! 

I colored the images up with my Copics (colors listed below) and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I love the blue and yellow color pallet and because Spinach and Ramona are in denim overalls, I decided to work with that color combination.  

I layered up some printed papers that I have in my stash and added a bow of white seam binding.   To create my focal image, I traced the lily pad onto my white panel so that I would have an idea of where to add depth.  I created a watery background with my Copics and then adhered the lily pad in place.  I arranged Spinach and Ramona on the lily pad and then added the flowers.  Once I was happy with placement, I glued them down.  After determining where I would place the sun, I stamped my sentiment and then adhered the sunshine image.

PPC&F - All Dressed Up - Summer Trainers

Happy Saturday, friends!  I hope that you are doing something fun and relaxing this weekend!

This week, All Dressed Up Digital Stamps is sponsoring us over at Passionate Paper Creations & Friends.  I was so excited to get to create with the Summer Trainers digital stamp.  It is so incredibly beautiful!  

Clean and simple (CAS) cards are a huge struggle for me.  I have a hard time with white space, but I wanted the image to be the star of this show, so I went for it.
