Time for Hot Cocoa!

Hi friends.... bet you thought that I was done sharing Christmas cards!  Nope, not yet, although this one is really more winter themed than Christmas!

I created a fun pocket card using the fabulous Scandinavian Christmas Collection from Keep it Simple Paper Crafts.  I love these cards because they provide an opportunity to use several different patterned papers!
I colored up the cute little snowman and mittens from the Santa & Friends stamp set and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  Before gluing the exterior flap down, I wrapped it with embroidery thread and baker's twine, and added a loopy bow.
I hope that you are warm and snuggly inside!  This card makes me want to whip up a cup of hot cocoa and curl up in front of the fire!
Thanks so much for spending a few minutes with me!

Holly Jolly Christmas!

Merry Christmas, friends!  I hope that you are in the midst of holiday revelry and sharing time with your friends and family!  I am catching up on some holiday posts, and I can't believe that I forgot to share this fun infinity shaker card!

I colored up several of the images from the Santa & Friends stamp set from the Scandinavian Christmas Collection from Keep It Simple Papercrafts with Copic Markers and I added Fun Flock to Santa's fluffy spots.  I also added some accents with a white Posca Paint Pen and a gold gelly roll pen.  I used the coordinating dies to cut the images out and set them aside.

To create the inside panel of the shaker, I die-cut a whole lot of red and green strips using the Stitched Slimline Strips Dies from Kat Scrappiness.  I adhered them on the diagonal to a piece of card stock cut slightly smaller than my shaker window and trimmed them all the way around.
To create the shaker itself, I used the new Mini Slimline Full Front Shaker Card Pocket from Kat Scrappiness.  It is as easy as placing your panel inside the pocket and adhering three sides to the back of the panel (adhesive is already applied to the pocket), leaving one open.  I filled the pocket with some fun shaker elements, also from Kat Scrappiness and sealed up the fourth side.
Once I had my shaker sealed up, I adhered it to the card base and added my elements to the front.  Easy peasy!
Merry Christmas to you all!  Thanks so much for spending a few minutes of your day with me!

Cold Hands, Wam Heart

Hello friends!  I am back to share another Christmas card that I made using the fabulous Scandinavian Christmas Collection.  When I first saw the Santa & Friends stamp set, I knew I wanted to use the mittens to create a clean and simple card.
I colored up the mittens with Copic Markers and added some white and gold accents with a Posca Paint Pen and gold gelly roll pen.  I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and set them aside.

I created my snowflake background by using a layered snowflake stencil on a white panel with a glitter texture paste and set it aside to dry.  I heat embossed the sentiment on a navy banner and put all the elements together.  The only embellishment that I added was a loopy bow where the two strings of mittens meet.
I really love this card, because it could so easily be converted into the perfect card for winter - birthdays, hello, any occasion really!
Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope your Christmas Eve is merry!
