You're Too Glamourous for Words!

Happy Friday, friends!  I am over on the Eyelet Outlet Blog today sharing a card that I am so ridiculously proud of!

I colored up this beauty and her fan from the Scrappy Boy Stamps Burlesque Beauty stamp set with Copic markers (colors listed below), cut them out, and set them aside.
I began with a base of shimmery black cardstock, a red panel, and a panel of patterned paper from my stash.  I inked up the edges of the panels with Black Soot Distress Ink. I also diecut a circle from the shimmery black, and a piece of tracing paper (I couldn't find my vellum, so I used what I had on hand LOL) and inked up the edges of those.
I heat embossed my sentiment onto the shimmery card stock, and bordered it with the red.  I wrapped the card panels with silver metallic thread before adhering them to the card base.  Once I had placed all of the elements on to the card, I added my embellishments.  My new favorite - the Red Glitter Enamel Dots from Eyelet Outlet were PERFECT for the jewel and the tips of the feathers.  I also placed some around the image to draw the viewer's eye to the focal point.  Lastly, I used the Gray Pearl Strips in two different ways.  I added three to each side of the card - I left them together as part of the strip before applying them to the card front.  I also separated a few of them and added them to the fan.
Colors Used:
Skin - E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, R20
Hair - E09, E08, E13
Clothes/Boots/Lips - R59, R29
Feathers - N10, N8, N6, N4, N2, N0
I hope that you love this card as much as I do!  It was so much fun to create!  Please hop over to the Eyelet Outlet shop and check out all of the amazing embellishments that they carry!   While you are there, stop by the blog and be inspired by all of the amazing creations from the Design Team!
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Scrappy Boy Stamps - Curve Appeal

Hi friends!  I hope your week is off to a great start!  I have something super fun to share with you!  My friends, Kim (@canterburycarddesigns) and I decided to challenge each other to create something and then share the results.  Hopefully, this will be a regular thing, as I had a ton of fun!  For this week, we decided to use a sketch to create a card.
I found a fabulous Mojo Monday sketch on Pinterest, and we both liked it, so we decided to have a go.  I have been dying to use the Curve Appeal stamp set from Scrappy Boy Stamps and thought this would be the perfect opportunity!
I chose my color palette based on the amazing paper pack that coordinates with the stamp set, so I started with a black card base, and I die-cut two panels (one from Stampin' Up Blackberry Bliss card stock and one from the patterned paper pack using the Elizabeth Craft Stitched Indented Rectangles Dies.  I also cut a stitched circle out using the new C. C. Designs Circle Dies.  Have I mentioned that I LOVE these dies?  I have used them several times recently and they do NOT disappoint!  And PS - if you purchase them from Artful Angel, use coupon code KIMSIMPSON to save 10%!)
I colored this beauty and the cute top hat with my alcohol markers (colors listed below) and added some sparkly details using a Sakura Gelly Roll pen.  I fussy cut the images out (I was too lazy to get my Scan n' Cut out) and started to put my card together.
I heat embossed the sentiment in black and layered a few strips and added the hat.  I decided that I would add a Tammy Wilson (@stamppaperscissors) style bow that matches the beautiful blackberry card stock and then popped my diva up on foam squares.
Copics Used:
Skin:  E0000, E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20
Hair:   E43, E53, E57
Outfit/Hat:  Stampin' Up Stampin' Blends - Blackberry Bliss Light and Dark
Black Accents:  C0, C2, C4, C6, C8
Flower:  RV00, R81, R83, R85

I hope that you have found something to inspire you!  I can't wait to do another project with Kim!  Please make sure to pop on over to her blog, take a look at her spin on the sketch, and leave her some love!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
