Club La-La Land Crafts - June 2022 Kit - Coastal Marci

Hello friends!  I haven't posted in a quick minute, but I promise I have been crazy busy creating all kinds of fun stuff!  Today, I am so excited to share what might be my all-time favorite card!

My friend Charlene (@scrappygma) recommended the Club La-La Land Craft Kit, and the June kit was so adorable that I had to jump on it!   The kit is chockers full of crafty goodness!  It included the adorable Coastal Marci stamp set, Silly Seagulls stamp set, the Seashore Circle Die, Pilings Die, and Pilings Border Die.  Let me tell you the creative possibilities are ENDLESS with this kit!
How adorable is this card?  When I look at it, I honestly can't believe that I created it.  LOL!  I wanted to attempt to color a background using my Copic markers (all of the colors listed below).  This was a first for me and I am just stunned with how amazing it turned out!  Huge shout out to Charlene for talking me off the ledge and preventing me from scrapping it!
I colored Marci and the seagull with Copics, cut them out and set them aside.  I used a terry cloth towel and alcohol to add some subtle texture to her straw hat.  I die-cut the piling using kraft card stock and added some depth with my markers.  I stamped my sentiment and layered it on a kraft panel, that I also inked the edges up to add dimension.   Once I had all of my elements ready, I adhered my beach panel to a card base and added the wood frame die-cut (Hero Arts Wood Frames Dies).  I then arranged the elements and when I was happy with it, I added a few dew drops.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Xoxo, Kim
