Happy Monday, crafty friends! I am so excited to share with you that I have joined the Design Team for Artful Angel!
For my first DT assignment, I had the pleasure of working with the new C.C. Designs Fairy Inchies. How cute are these little fairies?
I decided to make a shaker card and I was really struggling with what to do. I have to give a huge shoutout to my amazing friend, Kim (@canterburycarddesigns) as she gave me the idea to create a landscape background. I love having a crafty friend to bounce ideas off of!
To create the background, because I don't have a cloud stencil, I made my own using a cloud die. I just die-cut a strip of the cloud, and then I laid it down on my panel and did some ink blending using Broken China Distress Oxide Ink. (Note: I created the background before I die-cut the circle out.) I die-cut a few strips of the rolling hillside and I did some more ink blending using Twisted Citron, Shabby Shutters and Forest Moss Oxides.
I also used the brand-new C.C. Designs Circle Dies to create the shaker element. I am telling you that these might be my new favorite dies! They are AMAZING! I die-cut the circle from my cloud background, and I adhered it to the center of my card base. I adhered two of the fairies to the cloud panel, and then I put the shaker card together. I die-cut the scalloped circle from the C.C. Designs Circle Dies and I ink blended it using Broken China Oxide.
To finish my card, I adhered the remainder of the fairies and embossed my sentiment on an ink-blended banner.
