Hello crafty friends! I hope that you are having a fabulous weekend!
I was able to spend Friday with my best childhood friend at the Stamp & Scrapbook Expo. What fun we had, and let's be honest! We definitely did our part to help stimulate the economy! But, more about that later!
When your bestie calls and needs cards, you jump on it! She needed some cards for her grandmother, and let me know that she loves pink and roses, so I immediately picked up the Altenew Never Stop Dreaming Embossing Folder and Dies. They make beautiful cards in no time at all!
I dry embossed a 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" panel of hot pink card stock. I love the beautiful texture that this embossing folder provides. I die-cut the center element from a shimmery black card stock using the coordinating dies and I die-cut the sentiment using another Altenew die.
I wrapped a length of sheer black ribbon around my pink panel and adhered it at the back of the panel with tape. I then adhered the panel to shimmery black card base with liquid adhesive. I added the rest of my elements and then finished the card off with a bow.
I hope that the card will bring her grandmother some cheer and that she will know that she is loved!
You have survived this long, so more about the Expo! I had the pleasure of doing some fan-girling while I was there! It really is a lot of fun to be able to meet the creators of some of your favorite stamps and supplies!
Meeting the amazing Sean Covert (@scrappyboy_losangeles) of Scrappy Boy Stamps was no exception! Of course, I had to get a photo of the two of us to share with some friends!
Sean's stamps, dies, papers and stencils are some of my absolute faves! If you have not checked his work out, please do! I can not rave enough about Scrappy Boy Stamps!
Ok, thanks for allowing me my moment! As always, I am grateful that you too some time out of your day to check out my creation!
Xoxo, Kim
